HISTORY
The EDCO League was formed over 75 years ago in Eastern Delaware County along the MacDade Boulevard corridor. Over the years the league has grown covering all four corners of the county. In 2019, MN Recreation (mnrecreation.myrec.com) took over the administration of the league covering all tasks like scheduling and website, which enabled us to keep the team league fees very low at $100 per team. Rules were made very user friendly in terms of rosters and adding players with some playoff eligibility game requirements. The league’s official name was changed for the 2020 season and new teams were added as well. Tri-County Umpires and Frank Gorgone were added in 2020 and have been great ambassadors for the newly named league.
DIVISIONS
JUNIORS (Grades 9, 10 & 11) A good high school player or 18 year old going into his senior year and plays varsity baseball should play in the seniors.
SENIORS (Grades 12 +) This is a men’s league with Core age of 18 to 23.
There will be some flexibility handled case by case where a player will be permitted to play up OR down based on one’s ability. For example, a very good junior might be better served playing up. League will be team entry, but we will make every effort to place individuals who sign up.
LEAGUE FEES including Insurance
The fees for the 2025 season are as follow: $100 per team ($150 after April 15) payable to MN Recreation, 20 Media Line Road, Newtown Square, Pa 19073. Payment will also be accepted over the phone by calling 610-353-2326.
The umpire assignor fee is $100 per team ($150 after April 15) payable to Judy Mills, 11 Snyder Lane, Aston, Pa 19014. Can also Venmo @Judith_RyanMills
Home team umpire fee:
$95 cash per game for home team. Playoffs games will include two umpires with each team paying one.
SEASON DURATION
Play for both divisions will begin May 15 (flexible) and continue through the end of June / early July. Playoffs will begin the week of July 7 and continue through the month or until a champion is crowned.

Field Dates - Location, date, and time field is available. Required by 04/15/2025
Blackout Dates - Dates in advance you cannot play. Senior week, graduation, etc. required by 04/15/2025.
