Pickleball has been the fastest growing sport in the United States for five years in a row. The Association of Pickleball Professionals report that 19% of adults have played at least once in the last year. The sport combines elements of badminton, tennis, and ping pong. Each lesson will include instruction on serving, different strokes, rules of the game and scoring. The Program Coordinator, Dr. Ralph Carrozza, is a multilingual, IPAPT Level 1 Certified Instructor for beginners who has a B.S. in Physical Education and Health and over 12 years of experience playing the sport. The outdoor lessons will be conducted at the pickleball courts located at the South Marple Little League Complex in Broomall. Equipment is not needed, just a willingness to learn this exciting sport.
